The American Bakers Association is the voice of the commercial baking industry. The trade association serves the global wholesale baking industry and the companies and suppliers.

The ABA provides professional development services for members, including custom training solutions, executive leadership, workforce recruitment and other services. The ABA’s Bakers Manufacturers Academy offers technical training for bakery production employees, either seasoned or new to the baking profession.

The ABA also tracks the economic impact of the baking industry as well as monitoring the legislative and regulatory landscape for the industry. It does this on behalf of the entire wholesale baking industry.

International Baking Industry Exposition (IBIE) and other events

The ABA hosts the annual International Baking Industry Exposition, ABA Conventions, ABA TechCon and other industry events. The IBIE is the largest baking industry trade show in the western hemisphere and the most important event for the United States grain industry. The event is co-owned by ABA and the Baker Equipment Manufacturers and Allieds (BEMA) and is held in Las Vegas. It attracts over 21,000 industry professionals each year.
